Program Overview

For candidates accepted into the federal Express Entry pool who also have qualifying Yukon employer support and meet territorial nomination requirements.

Express Entry and Territorial Eligibility

The candidate must maintain a valid federal Express Entry profile and remain eligible for a federal Express Entry program while satisfying the territory's employer, occupation, language, experience and settlement requirements.

Selection and Application

Yukon Express Entry combines two separate systems. The candidate must maintain an eligible federal Express Entry profile, while the Yukon nomination side is employer-led under the territory's current intake process. The Yukon employer submits the YNP Expression of Interest during an available intake period and may be invited to file a complete nomination application for the worker. A federal Express Entry profile, Yukon job offer or employer EOI does not guarantee territorial selection. If an enhanced nomination is issued and accepted in Express Entry, it adds 600 CRS points; the candidate must still complete the federal permanent residence process with IRCC.

Documents and Evidence

The application should document each eligibility element with appropriate identity, status, language, education, employment, employer, licensing, financial or business evidence as applicable.

After Nomination

Nomination is not permanent residence. The nominee must complete the applicable IRCC process and satisfy federal admissibility requirements. Current program rules should be reconfirmed immediately before filing.

Express Entry, CRS and Provincial Nomination

This provincial pathway operates alongside the federal Express Entry system. Candidates should maintain federal eligibility and understand their CRS score. Where an enhanced provincial nomination is issued and accepted, 600 additional CRS points are added, but nomination is not itself permanent residence.
